in my ambition to be a better linker, I've set out to make lists of the websites that delight me, and the online places where I hang out the most. but i think what would be even more interesting over the long term is to keep a dynamic list, or rather to make snapshots of lists of spaces I hang out online these days, regularly, so i see the progression
here is the one of june 2026, in no particular order :
- nabui studio : i spend a good deal of time exploring her website and getting inspired by the hand drawn icons for my own website migration (and my making website manifesto, which I'll share soon)
- alanagoyal : same reasons, this website delights me and it's full of little side quests (which can turn into full on adventures if you're a fellow rabbithole digger)
- sublime : a new kind of bookmarking service, and to be fair, I don't spend a lot of time on there exploring (like I do on Pinterest for ex), but I do use it a lot to make my own collections, that's very enjoyable, and the platform culture forces me a little to find new ways to combine my findings
- artvee : I adoooore adding new paintings to my favorite folder on there, it's pretty addictive, and often, I find artists I knew nothing about
- substack notes : there is a little french community on there and I made a couple of friends, which is very nice. I get a lot of joy from posting little silly notes and my paintings progress. Substack is also the place where my french magazine about the internet lives.
- appartment birds : another website that enchants the internet, it's a dynamic page that shows the types of birds that sang near the creator's window during the last hours and days, I'm going to show this one to my dad this weekend and I can't wait
- the fridge magnet experiment : a place where the internet shares a fridge door to make fridge magnet poems on.
- my blog (this blog you're on) : i keep thinking it's a miracle that I was able to make it and keep finding it very cool to post on
- youtube : I have phases, and my current phase is watching youtube videos (my current rotation is Sandi Hester, Za, Living Big in a Tiny House, and the Yale course on art history)
- Pinterest : I'm a big pinterest user, it's a place of pure wonder for me, I keep collecting and discovering quotes, references, paintings, beautiful objects and stuff I want to paint
- ARTE : keeping in theme with youtube, I often like to end my day with a nice documentary (the one about the Garnier Opera most recently, but also the whole series of 'Est-t-il vrai que...')
- Brilliant : duolingo for maths, I feel like it's clearing my brain a little, and it's become a good source of distraction in moment of despair
- and as always, Reader (affiliate link) - which is the place where I really watcht the documentary and read the substack publications I'm subscribed to (as well as the books and articles and anything I read basically)
I could also mention Codex and Claude, where I spend an enormous amount of time (especially on Claude), but somehow I feel they don't fit the theme of 'space'.
